Guard Dog Services
Patrol dogs are generally deployed where Security Officers may be at risk or if there are large areas to patrol. They are trained to be safe with members of the public but can defend their handler when necessary. A highly effective deterrent, our General Purpose Patrol Dog Team has achieved more arrests than any other division within the company.
Patrol dogs are used for many assignments, from guarding critical infrastructure to parks and open spaces. One of our Clients has awarded us a ten-year contract following the successful completion of two previous three-year contracts, all following a competitive tendering process.
Unlike many security companies that provide patrol dog services, we own the majority of our dogs and employ their handlers, rather than subcontracting the service. Close bonds are formed when dogs live with their handlers, making the partnership far more effective.
Our company dog trainer is a retired Police Dog Instructor with over 22 years of experience in all aspects of Police Dog work.
Also on-site, we have 2 NASDU Instructors so between them all can educate our officers to the highest standards.
A number of our Dog Teams are independently licenced to ensure they perform at or above the levels expected on the contract. The elements included in the licence are assessed at or above the levels expected of a licenced Police Dog.
Drug Detection Dogs
CSG Management Ltd search dog section is led by a retired Police Dog Instructor with over 22 years of experience. He is also a NASDU Instructor All dogs are trained to the same exacting standards.
At our headquarters, our Instructor is licensed to hold live Drugs and Explosives by the Home Office to train all our specialist Teams.
We have worked alongside many agencies such as Police, NHS, and Customs.
We employ all of our handlers and own the majority of our dogs, which are transported in specially liveried and equipped company vehicles.
Our Specialist Dog Teams have been successfully deployed at a large number of sites, including searching for persons entering large concert venues.
Many of our units carry both a general-purpose patrol dog and a search dog, providing greater flexibility and lower costs. One client has 24-hour protection from a patrol dog team – used for high-profile perimeter patrols – and an explosive search dog team deployed to carry out full searches of any vehicles arriving on site.
